Metal Roofing is highly durable & can last 50+ years, energy efficient, reflects sunlight, low maintenance & available in various styles. 

Wood Shakes Its more of a "natural appearance." It is good insulation, & can last 30-50 years, and when sourced correctly, it can be environmentally friendly.
